Now, regarding fuel: while all fuel may have come from the same truck, the aircraft’s design means each wing tank feeds its own engine independently. Both engines had been running fine for a while, and then failed simultaneously. That makes dual flameout due to contamination very unlikely — statistically and mechanically.
This leads me to strongly lean toward an electrical failure affecting thrust control on both engines. However, even that theory has issues: All engines I know are equipped with a Permanent Magnet Alternator (PMA), which provides power to the Engine Control Unit (ECU) independently of the aircraft’s main electrical buses.
On top of that, thrust levers are hardwired to the ECUs, meaning a complete electrical bus failure shouldn’t cause a loss of thrust command. That said, based on what little is publicly known so far — and without specific type knowledge of this particular aircraft — my best guess is an electronic or software-related failure that resulted in commanded fuel starvation, not an actual lack of fuel. Even a sabotage shouldn't be ruled out.

PS: Was er wohl meint ist, dass es selbst im Falle einer "Fuel Contamination" sehr unwahrscheinlicht ist, dass beide Triebwerk IN DERSELBEN Sekunde ausfallen. Erscheint mir plausibel.
