Standard Operating Practices Single Pilot IFR.
Develop Personal SOPs/Best Practices Conference at the Romantic Hotel "Der Adelshof" (https://www.hotel-adelshof.de) in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany Saturday, 23 February 2019. The seminar will be led by Jason Carley.
The purpose of the seminar is to help GA IFR pilots think about SOPs and Best Practices for their flying in order to aid safety and confidence in flying generally. The approach adopted will be similar to that used in the weather seminars; collaborative and scenario-based. The goal is to leverage the experience in the room as much as the leader in order to help pilots develop their OWN SOPs, not to impose SOPs on them.

Costs :For those attending the Saturday conference itself the charge would be £98 for the day. This is in order to cover room hire, projector/beamer, tea/coffee breaks etc, a two course lunch and a three course dinner. No alcohol included. Extra people attending eg partners who want lunch/dinner would be approx £40 respectively (I would suggest dinner makes most sense for partners). Vegetarian option will be possible.
Rooms are available for €99/night single and €149 double occupancy including breakfast. Dinner on the Friday night would be possible and a la carte. We suggest that when you register you book the room in the hotel.
Please email daniela.achilles@hotel-adelshof.de referencing PPLIR event to book your room and ensure you get the correct rate.
Note cancellation terms.
Landing fees are as normal and are reasonable but we will get shuttles to and from town and they will do their best to assist with any aircraft that need to get into a hanger to deice for a couple of hours. Deicing itself is available but would obviously be charged. Immigration and customs will be arranged.
The conference fee would have to be paid on registration and would be refundable in line with the hotel's refund policy (60 days prior). The minimum of 15 conference attendees is needed to make the event viable. The maximum the room can take is 40.
Deadline for registration: In order to decide if we have enough interest to justify going ahead with the seminar before we incur cancellation charges, please register by the 21 December 2018. If we have the minimum of 15 at that time we will continue and further registration will be possible up until the date of the seminar. If we fail to obtain the magic 15 we will cancel and return the registration fee to those who have registered.
